Gnarly Bloomer

This tree with an attitude stopped me in my tracks while on my way home one day. Redbud it is and beat up it has been. Still, it blooms as if throwing its buds to the heavens, allowing them to fall where they may. Its bark read like a Rorschach test and begged to be painted. I obliged.
